I am doing a second play through maxing out corruption this time as playing through Pure as the first time around meant I missed some of the cooler aspects of corrupting your squad leaders.

I am pumped for the next expansion now. Hopefully they will do a similar thing to DC where it is a sector you have to kill everyone else off for and is playable with all the races, each of which have a hero and squad leaders. That would be ballza, I wouldn't leave my house for weeks. Although from the direction of the story it seems they want to stick with the Blood Ravens story angle for at least another game. Which could be a good thing, it would give them a chance to include more races before a hopeful 4th expansion that had a DC-like campaign.

Oh and I liked the ending music, the stringed instrument when drinking water, and the battle music towards the end. But the grunge rockish theme that's plays during fights during the majority of the game was lame.

Just finished Sands of Time.

Short version: ending was fucking awesome, why couldn't the entire game be like that.

Having played new PoP first, I was kind of disappointed in the lack of narrative. There's some entertaining dialogue towards and at the end, but the vast majority of the game is just Farah grunting I'M OVER HERE and I FEEL AS IF I'VE LIVED THIS MOMENT BEFORE. In fact, if it weren't for the names on the save file I wouldn't even know where the fuck I was at or what the fuck I was doing all the time.

I'd heard that Farah was, simply put, "a useful female partner", but I felt like I was escorting her stupid ass most of the time, as I was constantly pressing switches and shit because she couldn't wall run and climb like any other character in this fucking game. She had no character depth, and the only good thing about her was The Prince making condescending remarks about women on her behalf.

I liked the little monologues he would pop in with time to time, but there weren't enough of them.

I was surprised to see that there was just as many puzzles as there was platforming, and a bit disgruntled that most of my play time was me figuring out where exactly I was supposed to go. The camera, for example made it extremely difficult to discern which ledge I would grab and which would send me to an untimely death, and this really becomes a problem towards the end when the camera angles are fucked up and I don't have the novelty of rewinding when I mess up. Though generally I thought the platforming in the last half of the game was more fun and rewarding.

Combat sucked. Was tedious, repetitive, and boring. In fact I was glad when I could just started killing enemies instantly which means I could mash square and get done with it quicker. I would've liked it more if it were completely devoid of enemies, or if they were simply much more sparse.

Oh and fuck those bats. And those fucking vultures. Holy shit.

Also I don't understand the choice of casting Yuri Lowenthal with a British accent. Or why The Prince sheds an article of clothing periodically. It just doesn't make sense.
