You have to apply the "jack of all trades, master of none" ideology to that however. The hybrid will of course have some average of the two parts that made it, but those two parts will be far more diluted then in their 'pure' form.
This won't be disadvantageous when just introducing a pinch of one into the whole of the other, and visa versa (it has many advantages actually), but a full and complete mix may not equal the great product you're hoping for.
