Melbourne Shuffle Thread The Melbourne shuffle is a style of dance, which originated in the late 1980s in the Melbourne underground scene. Shuffling can be broken down into three distinct movements: The T-Step, the Running Man, and Spins. Additional movements such as hand, and hat tricks are also usually incorporated.

So when do they become Power Rangers?
Why does dancing have to be classified into styles and moves? Why can't we just dance. I really define dancing as the physical embodiment of music. I think I heard that somewhere first though, but it is true.
Because music is also categorized into different styles. Different styles of music inspire different styles of dance. NOW LET'S POLKA!
>>758 Don't worry, in real life people aren't as autistic as on image boards with specific subjects
>>802 Bog pomagaj! I'm ashamed that my country has fallen prey to the turbofolcloristic genre.

Hay /move/, I'm going as Gumby for halloween and I plan on hitting up a couple of parties and, in general, acting like a tool. As someone who seldom gets up, let alone dances, I was wondering what some simply yet effective moves would be in a similar costume. Thanks!
if you're going to be anything like that video i want you to come to my town!
So, honestly, what happened to good old glowsticks and frantic circular motions of the arms that as a whole follow the beat of the music? I mean, there's all that jumpstyle and all these european dance styles that I don't think I could look good doing. I mean, does anyone have respect for good old fashion ravers anymore, or are (am) they (I) just a laughing stock?
hey guys idk where you all live but the 'scene' is alive and thriving here in norcal with socal catching on. Just had LovEvolution in San Fran and the afterparty was amazing as usual. Here's a video of me glowtsicking for those who haven't scene it in a while
link didn't work so here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-nKShdqUp0
>>791 HAHA a GS.C'er? thats hilarious. i used to visit their site all the time. i quit when i went to their meetups and realized that if i wanted to hang out with them i'd have to be sober, even at raves. completely turned me off. have fun with them though, some of those guys can do amazing things with those sticks.
Sup /move/ Curious to all of your DJs out there: Is the Elcer EVO5 Club Mixer a reliable product? I'm contemplating on buying one. Your opinion?
No no no no. Friend got one and it fucked out on him.
What kind of music gets you dancing regardless of the situation? Any bands/albums in particular? Pic overly related.
Here's anamanaguchi. Embed didn't work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUG2F3zq6VM
>>780 the tune was good, but the way they did the music hurts my ears.
try listening to some of their other music. I know they have a playlist of like, 12 songs or something rather on their youtube profile, all really good songs.
What does /move/ think of jerking?
Wow this is awesome! What's the song? I wants it
I got into jerkin shortly after I learned Jumpcore. We even have a crew. nothing like prangers, but its a start. we go to neon lit bowling alleys and such. hell, I even dressed in a banana costume and jerked to "Vans" while i was promoting at work. Once you get the hang of rejectin, the whole style becomes easy to roll with.
its a working progress
