Into the wild.

Its not a normal sad film, you know the ending from the beginning (if I remember correctly) but srsly moving.
And a pretty cool thing to do.

GLORY!

Just watch it from start to end in one sitting. Even if you can't stand black folk, this movie will still make you cry towards the end.

I found it gave me a mix of emotions including wanting to cry. During the final battle you'll work up tears, and finally you'll waterwork again at the end. Any soundtrack by James Horner back in these days kicked major ass.

And Cary Elwes freaking rules.

>OP, what makes you sad is going to be completely subjective
This, because my backup is Lost in Translation.

A quick list of the saddest and most tragic songs you can think of, I'd appreciate that.

So far all I can come up with is :

C.C.R - Have You Ever Seen The Rain. and
REM - Everybody Hurts.

If you want to see a full grown man cry like a bitch listen to "Sick Of Food" by American Music Club

I've got a good deal of sad songs, but I dont think anything is anywhere near as sad as Sick Of Food

What was the surprise in this one again?
I kinda phased out after the massive amounts of anti-communist propaganda in the last 2/3s of the movie.

Last night I watched a movie called Dogville, with Nicole Kidman, boy, this movie is so different to anything I've watched. The picture gives you an indication of what it's style is like.

It's as though a play has been filmed with a handheld camera, and only some of the interactive props are included, whereas the walls of the houses are just represented by lines painted on the ground. The gooseberry bushes are just painted blobs on the ground with "Gooseberry bushes" written next to them. At first it starts off like a typical old-west fairytale drama, but the film is R rated, and for good reason. I won't say anymore lest I spoil it. The very last scene with Kidman is just spectacular.

Definitely in my top ten already.

oh, btw: The trilogy is his interpretation of the American experience.

Oh and he chooses different actors for the major characters in 2nd film, but also reuses a lot of the unknown actors for the secondary characters in the 2nd film.

This is a great movie. Sorta like the play "Our Town", except the town isn't quite so ideal after all. I'm willing to bet that Tom's novel is probably supposed to be Our Town or something similar. Anyways, its a good use of three hours and I doubt it will disappoint.

Here's a trailer for a short movie my sister (not filtered) starred in. The director, some hipster student my sister knows, said it's supposed to be "post ironic" or something along those lines. So yeah, keep that in mind while you're bombarding it with caustic comments.

Anyone have as much contempt for this piece of utter drivel as I do? Lazy-ass writing, outdated stereotypes, one-dimensional characters, and jokes which couldn't make someone laugh with a head full of Nitrous. Fuck this. Chuck Lorre seems to think all theoretical physicist graduates can afford to live in fucking gigantic apartments, simply can't talk to women, and haven't ever head of a *chan. This show goes beyond being bad, it's offensive. As close as it gets to physical pain from watching a TV show.
