Imagine the epic battle of wits and cunning that left his king in A-1 with my king in C-1 and my queen in A-3, cornering the miniature monarch. A fierce battle, impossible to predict before it was through.

Drat this confounded contraption! I daresay that no machine could best a man so thoroughly, and that there must be a living, breathing chessmaster concealed within!

The machine may be an impressive player, but it was bested by a simple variation of the 4-move checkmate! It seems as if both the Shallow and the Deep settings are susceptible to this seemingly cheap maneuver, though the Deep setting prolonged it by putting my dear King in check, making it a less impressive 5-turn defeat.
I tip my hat to you, computational device, for providing me a quick retreat from the hustle and bustle of my daily activities.

I do say, I am so terribly glad that this has been posted here, for this game of wits has passed many hours of my life which would otherwise have been spent sulking in boredom.

Finally! A victory is secured! At last a glimmer of hope shines through my usually cloudy and dim-witted chess playing.

Aha! A fine battle between me and the more difficult of the automatons, lasting no less then 156 moves. I had taken each and everyone of my opponents pieces, and he had a fair share of mine, but at last I had the scoundrel in checkmate. Good show!

I was able to best this machine on its highest echelon of difficulty in a mere 55 moves. It appears the key is to rapidly mobilize ones queen and lesser forces. As that dreaded French rascal Napoleon knew, a rapid offense is vastly preferable to a defensive gambit.

Dear sir. Defense is a srategy, where one gives ground they want to the enemy, for the purpase of luering them into anbushes and their final defeat. This type of strategy is far more complex, than simply sitting on the top of a hill, just ask Hannibal. He was very succesfull in using defensive tactics against offensive romans, despite beeing outnumberd manny times.

I do not wish to be seen as a boaster prone to self-puffery, so I will mention that I have always been what is called, in chess literature, a "patzer". That is someone who knows the rules, can play a rudimentary game, but will forever dwell on the lower rungs of the chess rating ladder. That being said, I have never been beaten by this Flash Chess program, and I play it on the deep level. No matter what contemptuous blunder I make, the computerized opponent will play so poorly that I can always come back to beat it. There are a great many computer opponents that quickly humble my poor efforts at this game, but this one is laughable even to one of my very limited skill.

Truly, the computer has my undying pity. The insidious machine whispers for me to run Rybka on its dual cores, but I know better, for Rybka will do things to me that gentlemen do not speak of in public.

I played with this opponent to cure myself of the abject chess blindness I feel myself afflicted with; over the course of my chess experience, I have lost more pieces and games to my own blasted senses and utter myopic lack of foresight than any other factor.
