This thread is for us to post resources to "Reducate" ourselves about many of the lies that are referred to as "Common Knowledge". This is for information only, not discussion. If you wish to discuss a source mentioned in this sticky link to it in a new thread.

"Cause history exalts only the pornography of force–that of murderers and psychopaths (the rest of us, of course, stricken from the narrative wholesale: a back drop to the tale)"

Welcome to /foilhat/, where we defluoridate our water, eat only organic foods, preserve our semen in water bottles so the illuminati can't clone us, and stay up all night writing angry letters to the government beneath a single bare lightbulb.

Our rules are as follows:
1- This is a board for conspiracy theories, not conspiracy hypothesis'. Learn the difference between the terms in bold. You are expected to provide some sort of evidence for whatever claims you make. This rule is in place in part to cut down on trolling. If you act too stupid for us to distinguish between if you are trolling or posting in sincerity, expect bad things to happen to you.
2- Keep /x/ appropriate topics in /x/. Because of the first rule, this should not be an issue.
3- Try to keep ideological discussions in /pol/. Politically, conspiracy theorists range from Anarchists to National Socialists, and everything in between. Some political discussion is inevitable, as these groups identify different kinds of social conflict (respective to the previous ideologies, class war or race war) as the motive for our insidious overlords' actions. That said, the discussion needs to remain in line with the focus of this board. If it gets out of hand, post trimming, topic locking, and in extreme cases banning will occur.

Be sure to take periodic breaks to go walk around outside. This shit can get to you. If you really feel like you need to talk to someone about how scared you are of the reptilian space jews selling your internal organs to zoos as lunch meat, get on #99chan and tell Sundevil. He lives for this shit.

This is part raeg and part foilhat, but I'm putting it in here because the foilhat bit is the important bit.

I am sick to fucking death of people linking to wikipedia articles as though they are the final word in how things work/are/were. Wikipedia, although useful for some things, is nothing much more than an encyclopedia of opinions.

I used to blame the mainstream media for only allowing one system of thought to reach the minds of the masses (and I still do), but now the masses are doing it to themselves via wikipedia articles. If you have a different answer to wikipedia, you're automatically considered wrong. Doesn't matter what research you have to back your shit up, the wiki article trumps you every time in the narrow minds of the stupid masses. I mean shit, I had a DICTIONARY definition backing me up, but no, the stupid fucks I talk to via emails all decided that I was wrong.

First the media. Now wikipedia. I would facepalm in sorrow if I wasn't pissed off.

No no, I was mildly amused. But since I'm the OP it didn't overcome my residual rage, so I didn't lol.

As for accuracy, I have a great example there. It gets into physics a bit but the article on horsepower: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower

This article keeps stating: an early-production BL Mini 850 cc (52 cu in) engine produced about 34 bhp (25.4 kW) at the flywheel, of which only 18.2 bhp (13.6 kW reached the driving wheels

That is utter bullshit and I can easily explain why in layman's terms if you want. But no matter how many intelligent people delete it from the article, some idiot keeps putting it back in.

You talk to people through e-mail OP? I've never done such a thing other than brief conversation. Why talk through e-mail when you have instant messaging...
>> No. 1504
Maybe you shouldn't talk to those people any more. I know plenty of people who refute textbook documented research with Wikipedia and Yahoo Answers, but that doesn't mean I can't ignore them.
Just think that they're the kind of people Natural Selection would handle, if it were in effect.

>>1502
Please explain, as I'm not certain on the finer details of HP and would like to know why this is fallacious.

Alright, it's 1HNNNNNNNNNG0 in the morning and here I am, living on coffee and cheap pizza, trying not to go do what everyone does on the internet at night.

Yes, porn porn porn!

Could there be a conspiracy involving the massive amounts of porn on the internet?
Rumor has it that it's 75+% of the internet, but given the nature of the internet I can't say one could ever give an accurate figure.
Being someone who's been addicted to it at more than one point in my life, I think this merits some talking about.

There was a thread a while back, on some ridiculous site linked from /reich/ (stormfront, but hold your horses) about what porn really does to a person. Aside from linking it all back to the Jews, I think there were some good points in that it can really destroy how you think about the opposite sex and make normal relationships not function.

Yes it's a religious site, but look at this, scroll down to the porn & divorce stats:
http://www.soundvision.com/Info/life/porn/pornfacts.asp
---to paraphrase, the majority of divorce lawyers say that internet porn played a role in over half of the cases they worked on.

A long time ago I downloaded a 250 page pdf report called "Porn and Public Health", which I haven't gotten to read because I hate reading off a screen and I'm not wasting all that paper. It was linked from wikipedia, sure again not the choicest source, but it looked pretty legit.

I've been drinking a lot of flavored water for the past few years, mainly because I was looking for something that wasn't packed with calories and was somewhat healthy. However, recently I've been thinking about it, and all the aspartame I take in probably isn't a whole lot better for me.

Before this, I had previously drank milk, which I didn't like due to the animals being genetically modified and being pumped full of who knows what. Then I was drinking juice, but that wasn't kind to my teeth, and I don't know what all "concentrate" from China contains.

So, I could always drink regular water, but I am afraid that while probably the best alternative, it won't be any better. I've also heard things such as medicines not broken down in the body, that are flushed down the toilet soon to reenter the water supply, will eventually make it back to your tap.

What do you drink, and how do you keep yourself safe? I feel like there is no real safe alternative sometimes.

Sorry for another embed, but it fits better than any image I have on here atm.

How do you think we're up all night posting these theories? Coffee, and that's what you should drink. Build your own maze of tubes and pipes that looks like a freaking distillery to filter the crap from your water and organic fair trade coffee beans ground yourself, and enjoy life.
>> No. 1496
Ok, out of curiosity what exactly will happen to me as someone who drinks tap water and has for the past 25 years? I can't help but think that if tap water was so incredibly dangerous to the point of being poisonous than my immediate community (who overall drink tap water because the bottled stuff is too damned expensive) would all be exhibiting similar medical problems. Not that I don't enjoy watching two groups of people who likely are NOT biochemists discussing biochemistry but if we all just put our ideological guns down for a moment we would probably see things a bit more clearly. You're both (at least partially) right though, there are a number of very good reasons not to consume aspartame, it tasting like shit being a few down on the list.

Since this is the conspiracy board, I have some counter-speculation to the "tap water vs bottled water" argument. It is in fact a subtle attempt by Coca Cola (and other companies who profit by bottling water) to install a self imposed privatization on the most basic of human necessities. There are plenty of places on earth which genuinely don't have clean running water and were actually pretty lucky given what we have (we can even filter it once more after it leaves the tap). Yes, we could raise complaints about whatever the 10 parts per millions are (or whatever the figures are in your geographical area) and if that improves the quality of the filtration process than that's great. However, I've yet to see anyone drop dead from trace amounts of fluoride in their drinking water.
>> No. 1497
>>1496
Here's the deal with fluoride and why most rational people with concerns over the stuff object to it:

1) The long term/unregulated dose quantities and what it does to biologic organisms over time. This is easy to research, and the quickest way to do so is to research what fluoride poisoning does to horses and cattle.

2) I don't discount the health benefits of natural trace fluorides in the diet, but we're not talking about naturally occurring trace amounts. We're talking about unregulated medication of the populace without control of the dosage administered, and the source sodium fluoride being industrial grade waste from the nuclear industry, in addition to additional fluoride exposure via phosphate fertilizers used in growing our food supplies and its accumulation in our food as well as toothpastes, etc. Where is the line, why is it not regulated, and why doesn't anybody care if most of the public is exceeding what's considered a safe dosage?

3) Why is unregulated dosages of sodium fluoride being pressed out into the public water supply when studies showing its effectiveness at preventing tooth decay are nebulous at best, and the leading cause of tooth decay comes down to the diet a person is raised on during their childhood and the overall exposures to acidic foods?

4) Why do proponents of sodium fluoride usage always gloss over its usage as a means of chemical sterilization and its abilities to make people more docile when administered? You always hear it's for the teeth, but fluoride usage didn't start throughout the civilized world until after WWII, and coincidentally after the Germans were caught using fluoridated water as a means of control in their prison camps.

The ring of fire is where one tectonic plate slides under another. The plate on top will bend up until it cracks. The cracking of plates cause the type of earthquake that occurs on plates. The grinding between plates cause the other type of earthquake that occurs on fault line.

The atmosphere circulates. The oceans circulate. The molten core circulates. As the core circulates, the system moves the plates around. It gets more interesting once you factor in the tidal forces of the Moon and Sun.

I am sure that in the future, major sporting events are going to become a perfect cover for governments to push through dubious policies and decisions with international consequences.

I am not sure but I think that there were some major events around the last world cup and the olympic games..

i am going to dig up some proof.
