I know it goes against conventional wisdom (although I still want to know which idiots made the idea popular in the first place) but stretching cold is a terrible idea, making you more likely to hurt yourself. Do some light warm up stuff, THEN stretch a bit when your muscles are warm. Then at the end of your work out do more light cool down exercises, followed by a very thorough stretch. Stretching after a work out is huge, make sure you always do it.<br><br>Everything else important has been said by the other two posters.<br><br>]]></description>

I was a 16 year old who weighed 140lbs sopping wet.<br><br>This isn&#039;t dickwaving it&#039;s to show you that you NEED TO GET ON A DECENT ROUTINE so you can make similarly quick progress.<br><br>Or you can keep benching 150 and squatting 165 and doing abs till the skin rubs off your ass, if that&#039;s what you want to do.  It&#039;s your life.<br><br>]]></description>

And if you want to get really cheap, beans.<br><br>From quick, lazy googling, I&#039;ve gathered that the recovery drink p90x uses is a 4:1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein. You can either do some math and put something together yourself, or find something pre-made like Accelerade.<br><br>]]></description>
