To view stream on VLC:
1) Media tab on top
2) Open Network
3) Copy paste the url but delete the http:// and on the Protocol thing select http://.
4) what you should have is the Protocol set to Http://
5) The adress should be tinyurl.com/streamin
6) and the port should be whatever.
Click okay and play play play. Whenever a video changes it appears to change into this weird mesh of colors but a quick stop then a play should fix it.

If you need help ripping it, if you have a blu-ray drive, acquire AnyDVD HD. If you have a PS3, install the swiss army knife on OtherOS, and then rip the blu-ray ISO, transfer it to your main PC (external HD or network transfer I'm assuming, haven't done this yet), then go from there with the ISO. (I'd personally mount the ISO and use AnyDVD HD.)

Currently the server averages @ 42-56 users a day. Max peaked today @ 128 streamers and soon either the 4th or next week on the 11th we will be moving to a dedicated 2tb of storage + 1gigbit line with 5 dedicated ip's at our disposal.

Is it just me, or are a quarter of the Azumanga Daioh episodes lack video and play as audio only? Especially the later eps. I've tried streaming on both VLC and Winamp; same result.

so what do you think about just showing 1 or 2 eps of series at a time instead of marathoning whole series. then you could have like a schedule where people could tune in same time every day to see the next ep in a series. have prime time hours for newer shit and the like. i think we have enough series now to allow for that.

Well, unless it's a slice-of-life or comedy anime like Azumanga or Cromartie, the random shuffle wouldn't really work. Since half the anime on the list has an ongoing story, I think the 2 ep chunk format would work best.

Or, you mix it so plot-driven anime gets blocks, with random shuffle for the rest that doesn't.

Seems that i can't transload the previous RS links reason is my friend who gave us the server to use said if we wanted to use more than 50gigs I would have to give him 5 euros a month minimum but at the moment I have no cash on me till January so I will keep the other downloads on my webserver for now till we want to remove a shitty series from the playlist for example thinking of removing the maid series I uploaded but thats only 3gigs of space being removed the transloaded RS links are 9gigs in total the remaining hdd space is 6gigs...
Till then I will fix the playlist and restart the nsv.

Sadly the server can't exceed 50gb for a while, so you might be holding on to them for a while, but it looks like your not short of space.

The server had suddenly died for 2 weeks or so my friend who manages it has not replied to me since regarding the status of it coming back up.

No response from my friend I may be able to run a backup stream but is limited to 10gigs.

So my friend messaged me just after my recent post and said that the server had a bad 'crash' and all the data has been lost. So it will take a week for me to upload the 40gigs manually so I'm gonna add the last 9gigs first server 2 server xfer then and start the stream while I upload the rest. Just waiting for my friend to make my user account today.

So here's there small bits of info that he told me last night.
1. We are limited to 30gigs
2. Server upload speed can exceed 61.2MB/s upload speed = we can use more than 2000 viewers at once.
3. I may be able to even have a 2nd stream running from the webserver to animu server limited to 30gigs on that machine too.

Right now just waiting for him to make my account ;_; can't wait to get started..

My friends server went down to fix the hdd glitch with raid0 + raid1 drives but he also said that we could have his NL server which is 1tb a month band with 120gig hdd space, guess we could take that. He is going to find out how much it is for unlimi bandwidth on that server and hopefully get that package for us.

I'll keep everyone informed as soon as more info arises from this if he does give us that dedi i could get mugi-chan back on irc and maybe even host an extra nsv server for weekend plays only :)

So this time we are back for good now(I hope so '-')

On a French server 1Gbit line (capable of holding a maximum of 1k of viewers)
Maximum storage is 50gigs and doesn't interfere with the system drive using the last few uploads you guys uploaded which will top to 48 or so. There's also my webserver that can also stream for weekend plays only. Who wants to takeover the weekend plays only?

Since my current uploading speed is capped to 60-70KB/s a total of a week or so uploading the 40gigs (pic related) the current play-list that is going to be played on the stream are >>9973 should be completed within 30minutes of this post.
